FAQs
What is changing?

PMI are changing the education requirements for the PMP exam.

What is the key change?

PMI now require PMP candidates to attend live training from Authorised Training Partners to fulfill the compulsory 35 contact hours.

Is Learning People training authorised?

Yes, as an exclusive partner of Skillsoft in the UK and Ireland we are able to offer their live PMI Authorised Training.

Skillsoft partner of the year

What other changes are happening?

Students are also required to purchase exam preparation Learner Kits prior to sitting the exam. We expect to have these kits available from mid-May for PMI’s price of $99 (USD).

What is a Learner Kit?

The Learner Kit is a study guide produced and maintained by the PMI tailored to the PMP exam. It includes a series of supplemental assets, such as assessments, additional follow-on learning, and PMI slides.

Will I have to pay for the Learner Kit?

Learning People will cover this extra cost and manage the administration of the supply. Please note, we will confirm more details moving forward as this may be subject to change.

If I plan to sit the exam before 30 June will I need to attend the live classes?

No, although this may change moving forward. You will be allowed to sit the exam having studied self-paced online training up to 30 June 2021. Details for this may be subject to change.

What happens with online self paced training?

From 30 June 2021 (to be confirmed) PMI will not allow students to sit the PMP exam if they have studied online self-paced training. This training will remain available in your training platform for revision and as a backup to the live classrooms.

What times will the live classrooms run?

Currently, classes are scheduled for 9.00am and 4.00pm UK time BST or 6.00pm and 1.00am Sydney AEST time.

How long are the classes?

The classes are 4.5 hours with a 20 minute break in the middle.

Do I have to physically attend a classroom?

No, these are virtual classrooms so can be studied from home or the office.

Is there a catch up or replay version of the training?

As well as the self paced content and books there will be the opportunity to revisit the live training, through replay sessions. However these can only be used as revision. After 30 June, PMI will require proof of attendance for the live classrooms on the Skillsoft platform before a student can sit the PMP exam.

Can I get my money back?

This change has been imposed by PMI and is out of our control. Through the provision of approved training and learner kits, for no extra charge, we will ensure all of our students are able to sit their PMP exam.
