Student success update: Software Developer & Project Manager placements
Learning People student placements and success stories
The end of another month has seen another fantastic round-up of student success stories, including exciting job placements, job interviews and even more exams passed.
Learning People got me motivated and pointed down a path when I was directionless and the pandemic had shut my previous industry down. In the year following I studied with Code Institute on the Full Stack Diploma and the whole way, the LP team were supportive and present, checking in regularly.
Once the course was finished the fantastic Careers Service, namely the marvellous Robyn de Brún, helped me transform my online corporate/job-seeking presence on LinkedIn and hugely improved my CV. I had my new dream job in the bag before I’d even finished the programme!
I’d wholeheartedly recommend Learning People to anyone wanting to enact positive change in their life and are looking to retrain into a new, exciting sector.”
Mobeen has started as a Project Analyst on a contract basis. Career Services are working closely with him on his LinkedIn profile to help boost his employability now he is contracting.
One of our most contrasting career changers is Rory who was a Biology Teacher with a degree in Zoology. He’s now about to start a role as a Data Analyst on a 6 month training programme, working for an insight and intelligence provider to tech companies.
Congratulations to Purna who has now secured a role as a Global Project Coordinator in Cyber Security and Service Intelligence.
Will has also recently landed a role as a Software Developer for a cutting-edge technology company.
Fiona has just accepted an offer as a Project Coordinator for a promotions company.
Shaizaib starts a role as a Junior Front-End Developer with an online training provider.
Alan has accepted an offer as a Project Manager with a specialist water service.
Chris has accepted an Account Executive role at a company specialising in digital transformation. He’s excited to show how transferable and useful his project skills and certifications are across a range of industries.
Emma has just started as a Junior Project Manager and has told us that if she didn’t have her project management certifications, she’d have never got the job.
Angela has passed her CompTIA PenTest+ and has now accepted a 2 month training course with a new cyber security centre as part of one of the UK’s big 4 financial services firms. She is also at a 2nd stage interview for a Security Analyst role with a cyber security firm.
Angela has also written a TrustPilot review for us saying:
I’m happy with the experience I have had with Learning People so far. The training material is good and they are always available for help. I have been with them for 10 months now and I have passed all my exams for the first time.
I’m doing the ethical hacking course and this also gives me access to PracticeLabs that I can use to gain practical experience that goes beyond what’s required to pass the certifications, but that can be very helpful when demonstrating your skills to employers. It took me a long time to gain my A+ certification because of the amount of knowledge that is required but once I passed the following certifications felt a lot easier because they all built on the knowledge acquired from the A+.”
Even more students have passed exams this month including Max who passed his CompTIA Linux+ exam with an impressive score of 869/900.
