Student Success Update: Global Project Director placement at Reuters
Learning People student placements and success stories
Read about our students’ latest successes – we’ve seen excellent exam pass rates for the month of June, and some great work placements, including roles at Reuters Events and Sainsbury’s.
Congratulations to Cecilia, who has passed her PRINCE2® Foundation, Practitioner, Agile, and CAPM exams all the first time around, which is hugely impressive. We hope you’re proud of what you’ve achieved, Cecilia!
Mark and Richard have both worked extremely quickly and passed their PRINCE2® Foundation exams, after only enrolling in May and June respectively – impressive work!
Well done to Peter, who has passed his PMP.
Congratulations to Ahmed, who has passed his A+ 1001 and 1002 exams and is moving straight on to his Network+ exam. Keep up the great work, Ahmed.
After enrolling in November, Cameron has passed his A+ exams and his Network+ too. Congratulations Cameron, we’re so pleased for you.
Fantastic news for Erika, who was made redundant from her Group Event Executive role at a major hotel chain during lockdown. She wasted no time, however – while studying with us and applying for new roles, she worked as a multilingual Customer Service advisor for Lego, helped run events for them, and volunteered as a Digital Event Team Member for PMI. Erika is now joining Reuters Events as a Global Project Director. This is so well deserved and we are thrilled for her.
Sarah has accepted an offer for a Resource Study Coordinator role, working on clinical studies at a major pharmaceuticals contract research organisation. She is currently studying Project Management, and told us:
I’m definitely happy with it. It’s a similar type of work to what I do, has room for growth within the company, and I would get to work with people from all over the world. Not dropping in salary is a plus and I can gain experience towards a full PM role over the next few years. It gives me time to complete my courses and see the processes in action while doing so.”
Congratulations to Val, who has begun an IT Support & Infrastructure apprenticeship. He is also currently interviewing for an apprenticeship with the UK Civil Service, which is a long process, and we wish him the very best of luck. No matter what happens, he should be extremely proud of his achievements.
Well done to Zaman, who has landed an Associate Management Consultant & Project Manager role at a global consultancy firm.
And finally, Kim has been promoted from Product Manager to Senior Project Manager of Commercial Change at Sainsbury’s. She moved to the UK from Australia just 3 days into lockdown in March, worked extremely hard to get her certifications, and has now been offered this role. We’re delighted to see how her dedication has paid off – congratulations, Kim!
