Glasgow based student, Scott began working his way through our Certified Ethical Hacker collection whilst working in retail part-time. After completing the CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ he landed a new role in networking.
Now completed the CompTIA Security+ and moving through the CompTIA PenTest+ he has high hopes for his future career in cyber security. Discover what he had to say about his student experience.
Why were you looking to develop a skill prior to enrolling with Learning People?
“I was interested in going into intelligence, but cyber security was the only area within this that I felt I couldn’t pursue without gaining certificates first. I found Learning People through this search for further skills.”
How did you find your career consultation phone call with Learning People?
“Very insightful, I was given tips and advice that I would never have thought of. For example they have different checklists to work through (CV building, cover letter, attend events, etc), which makes you think about all the different aspects that go into an application and selling yourself”

“The value for money was the main attraction. Exam fees were included and resits too, as well as all learning materials and labs. Doing these courses straight through the vendors or other resources meant paying for the resources and only getting a discount voucher for the exams, so it’s nice to have everything included and ready to be used”

“When I started the course I was working part-time in retail, and after only 2 certifications I managed to get a job as a Network Support Analyst and have plans to move into cyber security on completion of all courses included in this package.”
