Why were you looking to learn a new skill prior to enrolling with Learning People?
“I was looking to learn a new skill to ensure that I can stay current within our IT / Data industry, because in the future you will need to have as many skills as possible as a lot of the roles within IT will become more of a hybrid rather than just staying singular skill set as we venture further into the world of automation and AI.”
How did you find your career consultation phone call with Learning People?
“From speaking to Lewis and Connie, they helped me to make the decision of pursuing the course with Learning People as I felt I was listened to about what I wanted to achieve from completing the course.
They offered some great advice and insight of how the course was structured and from this I felt that this was the best option for me from the research I had completed from speaking to other training providers that offer this course.”
What led you to choose the course with Learning People? Did you look at any other types of training?
“I looked at other training providers that offered this course, but what was different about this course with Learning People is the way you learned the theory of different best practices within the full stack developer course and applied them to real world scenarios. This helps you create a portfolio of work through milestone projects during the course graded by actual developers working out in the industry.”
How did you find the online learning?
“I am finding the online learning challenging in some areas, which is great as it’s testing your knowledge through the various exercises you must complete. This isn’t a bad thing, as working through the problems or challenges you face gives you a better understanding when resolve the issue. I also feel supported, if I have a challenge I can’t complete I can ask for help from my mentor Ali who has been very supportive since I have started the course.”
Would you recommend Learning People?
“I would recommend Learning People because you’re treated very well by whoever you speak to from the company, but most importantly the courses provided are very structured and give you the best possible opportunity to achieve your goal.”
What advice would you give someone thinking about starting an online course?
“I would say to do some research into training providers that offer the course / skill you’re looking to develop and you will see that Learning People will be one of the top options on most subjects because they engage with you rather than just give you a few videos to watch and some questions to answer.
“Make sure you have enough time to complete elements of the course a week, break it down into chunks to not feel so overwhelmed completing the course as this is an investment in yourself to better your skillset.
“Ask lots of questions about the course you’re looking to study to make sure that it is right for you.”
What has been the best part of your Learning People experience?
“From the initial call speaking to Lewis, Connie and student support to working with Ali on my projects has made me feel a valued customer / student as I go through the course.
Which has made it much easier to organise my time to complete various elements of the course.”
