CompTIA Data+ exam changes

Simply continue your studies and book your exam before 14th April 2026.

To allow time for a potential resit, we recommend taking your first attempt before 1st April 2026.

The final date for any resit of the current Data+ exam is 14 April 2026.

Yes.

The new CompTIA Data+ training will be available in our portal from April 2026.

No.

Although the exam objectives have been updated slightly, around 85% of the content remains the same.

If you move to the new version, you can:

• Continue studying using the updated training
• Use the end-of-module tests to identify any small knowledge gaps caused by the changes

Yes.

You will continue to have access to your training until your license expires, even after the current exam version retires.

You can use your voucher until whichever comes first:

• The voucher expiry date, or
• 14 April 2026, when the current exam is retired.

If you are unable to sit the current exam before it is retired, you can transition to the updated Data+ training once it becomes available.

As most of the content remains the same, you can use the end-of-module tests within the updated course to help identify any gaps in your knowledge and focus your revision before sitting the new version of the exam.

If you complete the training but decide not to take the exam, we can also provide a Certificate of Completion to recognise the learning you have undertaken.

Unfortunately, this exam retirement has been implemented by CompTIA and is outside of our control.

We will continue to support students by:

• Providing notice of the change
• Offering access to the updated training at no extra cost
