Our Career Services team coaches you throughout your job search, helping with everything from industry research, CV optimisation, LinkedIn profile upgrades, and application writing to interview preparation and professional networking. We’ve upgraded our Career Services with new expert-led features designed to support you at every stage, from job application to interview. Through our career coaching framework, including webinars, masterclasses, and tailored 1:1 guidance, we’ll help you step into your next role with clarity and confidence.

Your pathway to career success

We guide you through a three-phase process to help you secure your new career

Phase 1

Building your professional brand 

Phase 1 begins as soon as you have achieved your first certification or completed two milestone projects. You will start to build the foundations of your career search under the expert guidance of our career services consultants.

Careers Support 

During phase 1 you will start researching your chosen industry, discover the roles that you might want to apply for, and their salaries. You’ll learn about the importance of staying up to date with all the latest trends and changes and start to build your professional brand through your CV and LinkedIn profile.

You will have:

  • An introductory call with one of our Careers Service consultants to explore Phase 1.
  • A bespoke and industry-specific review of your CV and LinkedIn profile

Toolkits 

These will explain how to create and manage your career resources and will include the following:

  • A guide to researching the industry and the job roles that work for you.
  • A guide to creating a credible CV, and an optimised CV builder to get started.
  • Learn how to create a stand-out LinkedIn profile with our essential guide

It’s now time to invest in the knowledge and skills to get recognised. 

Phase 2

Custom professional network and engagement

As you begin phase 2 you will head to the job boards and begin to make your approach into the job market and your new career.

During this phase you will have:

  • A one-to-one coaching call with your dedicated Careers Services Consultant, focusing on your unique needs, ensuring a clear action plan moving forward
  • Understanding applicant tracking software (ATS)
  • How to collaborate with recruiters and apply for the right job role
  • Coaching on how to effectively grow your professional network

You’ll also receive tips on how to research and network through your specific industry and job sector, with your next exclusive Career Services eBook. Along with a cover letter template highlighting the essentials so that you can make a good impression to employers.

Following Phase 2 you will be ready to showcase your experience, accomplishments, and education to potential employers. 

Phase 3

Application and interview techniques

You will now be ready to identify the right roles and companies you'd like to work for and start applying for roles, we will help you navigate your way through job applications and interviews.

You will learn:

  • How to prepare for an interview
  • Interview question techniques
  • The best way to getting interview feedback

  • Data Analytics

    Ashton Neylon

    Ashton enrolled on the Data Analyst pathway with Learning People while transitioning from a non-IT and non-data background. Enrolling with Learning People has given Ashton confidence and a clear sense of direction, and the confidence to pursue her dream role in data analytics.

    Ollie Frost

    Ollie shares his incredibly unique tale of how he went from working for Learning People, to studying with us! Previously working as a project management Career Consultant at Learning People, Ollie saw an opportunity to dive into a career he had supported people getting into for over six years. With no prior experience in the field, but a wealth of knowledge of the industry, and support from Career Services, Ollie is now working as a Junior Project Manager.

    Jose Alberto

    Enrolling with Learning People in 2020, where has Jose’s new career taken him? We invited him to our UK Headquarters to find out how his career in Web Development has taken him over the last five years, reflect on how his experience was with Learning People, and give him the opportunity to advise students.

    Anamaria Prunean

    Previously working in hospitality, Anamaria was looking for better work life balance, and after speaking to Learning People decided that project management was an ideal career for her. She completed her studies and is now well on her way to her dream career.

Torn between two potential paths, a career consultation with Kitt helped him land on Project Management. Through his hard work and with the support of Learning People, Steve has completed four PM certifications.

    Previously feeling stuck in a retail job with no future, Zac contacted Learning People to explore a career in IT. Completing a series of CompTIA qualifications and with the help of Career Services, Zac has now secured a job in a field he sees a bright future in.
