Who are the British Computer Society (BCS)?
The BCS is a professional body and learned society based in the United Kingdom. Established in 1957, the BCS’s goal is to advance the field of computing and promote excellence in all aspects of technology, computer science, and IT. It serves as a platform for professionals, researchers, academics, and students to connect, collaborate, share knowledge, and discover the best ways of working together.
With the huge presence of computing and IT within society’s everyday lives, the BCS strives to position itself as a force for certifying best practices and ethics within the industry.
