CompTIA Network+ Exam

Format: Multiple choice and performance-based

Number of questions: Maximum of 90 questions

Pass mark: 720 (on a scale of 100-900)

Duration: 90 minutes

CompTIA Security Exam

Format: Multiple choice and performance-based

Number of questions: Maximum of 90 questions

Pass mark: 750 (on a scale of 100-900)

Duration: 90 minutes

EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH AI) Exam

Format: Multiple choice and performance-based

Number of questions: Maximum of 125 questions

Pass mark: Between 60% and 85%, depending on exam form administered

Duration: 240 minutes

Certification Pre-requisites

There are no official pre-requisites for the first certification you will need to break into the cyber sector: the CompTIA A+. However, you will require the A+ to complete the intermediate certifications.

CompTIA Network+ Pre-requisites - Completion of the CompTIA A+, or experience working with networking hardware and software
CompTIA Security+ Pre-requisites - Either completed the CompTIA A+ and Network+ or strong experience in computers and networking
EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH AI) - Completion of CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ or 2 years of work experience in information security, hardware, and networking
