Sofia previously owned her own business and worked in sales but felt that she wanted a change. So, she contacted Learning People and expressed interest in gaining certifications, changing careers, and working in change management.

Tell us about yourself and the courses that you took
Hi, I'm Sophia Josephine, and I started off with three qualifications. I started off on the project management pathway as well as Agile, which was a shorter course and another shorter course, the Change Management Foundation.
Why did you first reach out to Learning People?
So, I found Learning People on a simple Google search and what stood out to me was a really clear website where there was some great testimonials, but particularly the career help.
Just having that hand to hold when making job applications felt important. My employment history over the previous four or five years didn't [music] fill me with confidence, and I was happy to hear that there would be some handholding on that part of it just to really sharpen me even though I'm already great at CVs and job interviews.

Tell us about your career consultation.
My initial career consultation was straightforward. I was in the driving seat to ask the questions that I needed and wanted to. Josie was very nice. That stood out to me. She was a very friendly individual. She gave me the time that I needed. I went away, looked at a couple of things and came back. I needed to decide which course I wanted to do. I was able to pick up the phone to Josie a couple of times after that when I needed help, even once I was enrolled.
How did you find the learning experience and support from StudentCare™?
So Rose was my StudentCare™ consultant, and she was really supportive, really friendly. I only needed her when I had extenuating circumstances. I had a short hospital stay and I needed an extra 3 months. Rose was really friendly. We set up a call. I just booked directly on her Calendly calendar. She went through the situation thoroughly with me.
Then I've had Katie um as I've come back to studying the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner. Katie's been on the phone with me every week, at my request, just to help keep me accountable. And I've always found that there's no time limit. She's not rushing me. She's answering my questions as thoroughly as possible. Again, holding me a little bit accountable, and it's all just about moving forward but making sure that you're getting the most out of what you've paid for.
Then I've had Katie um as I've come back to studying the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner. Katie's been on the phone with me every week, at my request, just to help keep me accountable. What has been your favourite part of your journey?
As an extrovert, I know that I get energy from people and so knowing that there is always somebody to speak to on the other end of the line, whether it's StudentCare™ or somebody from a different team, has kept up the momentum and created an environment for success for me where distance learning could fall flat. So, I'm really grateful for that. Thank you.
What would you say to someone considering enrolling?
If you're thinking of enrolling, I would say if you're an extrovert like I am and you really appreciate having people to talk to as you go through your process and up-to-date learning techniques that are engaging and concise, go for it.

Has it been worth the investment?
It's definitely been worth the investment. Just looking at, you know, my uplift in salary and my career trajectory, um, a couple of thousand is more than worth it. I'm grateful, and I look forward to recommending Learning People to others as well.
