I'm Chelsea Humphries, and I studied the advanced project management pathway with Learning People, with modules including Change Management Foundation, AgilePM Practitioner and Foundation and the AMP Project Management Qualification.
I was originally a teacher and it was recommended to me to look into project management because of the transferable skills teaching had helped me developed. So I looked into different routes into project management and learning people came up. I sent in an inquiry after seeing that they offered accredited qualifications and supported routes into project management.
My initial career consultation involved me talking through my future goals and what I hope to achieve from the course. I had a long and in-depth conversation with Gabby who talked me through the whole course as well as the career service that Learning People offer. I felt really supported and confident to make my decision to start my career transition with Learning People.
Enrolling with Learning People has been one of the best steps I've made in my career journey so far. I've developed so much knowledge about project management and can evidence my knowledge through my qualifications on my CV. This course has also opened my eyes to how many transferable skills I had as a teacher and has given me the confidence to apply for project management roles and into for them. I've also learned a lot about networking on LinkedIn and CV writing. I worked a lot with Sophie who helped me through writing CVs and cover letters as well as preparing me for interviews. I'm so happy that I've secured a role as a project manager at a charity that I feel really passionately about.

Chelsea's Story

My experience with the StudentCare™ team has been really, really positive. My main point of contact was Katie who was really knowledgeable about the different study methods as well as the course requirements and structure. I had regular chats with Katie to talk through and reflect on my learning and revision. And Katie always responded quickly to my inquiries and made me feel really supported along the way.
The best part of my experience with learning people has been landing my first role at an educational charity as a project manager. Being able to share my success with Sophie, my careers adviser, who was just as delighted as I was, was such an amazing experience. Working with learning people's made me realize how resilient I am and showed me how much I can achieve.
The short answer to this question is yes. The content for the project management course was very detailed and clear, which made it really accessible and easy to follow. The level of support you get from the careers team through CV building, networking, and interview preparation is really invaluable as well. and obviously has helped to secure my first role in project management. I did not anticipate to feel so confident in my career transition than I felt with the learning people.
